A classic anime with a highly memorabale protagonist, Trigun looks seriously at passifism and the neccessity of religion for the formation of hope behind the facade of a simple action show. The ultimate conclusion it comes to is that there can be miracles without the help of god, but faith in those around you is essential for the continuation of good cricumstances.
It states that a pasifist does not need to be weak, and does not need to stand by at let others be hurt to uphold his code. Vash endures great hardships for his beliefs, and demonstrates strength that few possess, far beyond the obvious physical profficiencies he shows.

Welcome to Hogwarts, first years.
Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 25 August 2011 03:19 (A review of Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone)This, the very first harry potter book, has spared an unparalelled phenomenon in the world of entertainment. While many feel the relatively light hearted first installment pales in conparison to the dark and realistic fantasy it spawned, I have a different view.
I find this book has a sort of wonder-a magic, not to put too fine a point on it- that later books, and even more so the movies, lack. The book has plenty of fun for an adult or teen reader, but is told through a wonderously childlike viewpoint. I loved it as a child, and it has a nostalgi and refreshing appeal now, as an adult.
Sure to be a classic for many generations to come.

Gargoyles review
Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 24 August 2011 11:05 (A review of Gargoyles)This show was one of the greatest things on TV as far as disney went when I was growing up. It was impressively done, involving, and had one of the most well written villains in recent memory. Also, Goliath may have the single most amazing voice ever heard.

Watchmen review
Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 24 August 2011 08:58 (A review of Watchmen)A great comic book, and one which changed graphic novels forever by its mere creation. Even if you don't like comics, and perhaps especially so, you should read this. It takes the cliches and draws them out to the open. It makes the story real, and visceral. A must read.

The Secret of NIMH (1982) review
Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 24 August 2011 08:55 (A review of The Secret of NIMH (1982))This movie is possibly one of the best pieces of western animation, and also fairly under rated considering its quality. Directed by Don Bluth, a man who has a talent for making a great movie for every bomb he directs.
